Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized care, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed diligently. Document patient observations, care activities, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a positive environment that promotes mental well-being. Assist with resident activities and social engagement initiatives to promote community involvement. Support residents' safety by adhering to all policies related to resident's rights and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Experience providing personal care for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous. Working knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols is beneficial.
