Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Female-Only Group Home Caregiver to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents in a residential care setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with cognitive disabilities and dementia. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor residents' vital signs regularly and report any health concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques for behavior management and engagement Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during resident transfers to prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Engage residents in social activities and facilitate communication to foster a positive community environment Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or safe patient lifting practices are advantageous Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for driving residents when needed Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is a strong plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every resident feels valued, supported, and empowered. Pay:
$18.00 - $18.50 per hour
