Certified Caregiver

Primary Responsibilities:

Confident in using an E-Mar system and passing medication from a med cart Companionship and conversation with residents. Communicate with residents in a friendly and congenial manner. Personal care including bathing, toileting and dressing, assisting as needed with meals Mobility assistance Transfer residents from bed to chair, etc Detect, correct and report unsafe conditions which may result in harm to a resident. Work closely with licensed providers by collaborating in the care of residents Maintain privacy, dignity, treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect. Build relationships and trust with residents and families. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsible for meal preparation/cooking Assist with medication supervision Accurately chart and record information according to policy on approved medical record forms. Direct residents' well being according to state and federal regulations to ensure appropriate and acceptable standards of care.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of state approved caregiver program; current caregiver certification ( CERTIFIED

CAREGIVERS ONLY

) Arizona state approved Memory Care Training CPR/First Aid certification Negative 2 step TB test or chest x-ray indicating negative for TB Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Clear APS Background check Negative drug screen Two personal and two professional reference checks Ability to work independently Ability to communicate in english clearly and effectively with current and prospective residents, families, visitors and other co-workers 1 year of professional caregiving experience or equivalent work experience with completion of caregiver program (CERTIFIED

) Ability to care for and support residents with dementia, incontinence and in need of personal/perineal care, toileting and bathing, clients who need transfer assistance, assistance with meals.
