AZ Certified Caregiver for Elderly in assisted living Kindred Homes Yuma Yuma, AZ Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid orientation Paid sick time Qualifications CPR Certification Food handling BLS Certification English Assisting with ADLs Caregiver Certification Meal assistance Full Job Description We are looking for a competent AZ certified caregiver to provide quality of life and a positive experience to our residents by maintaining a warm atmosphere, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment. The duties of a certified caregiver includes but is not limited to the following: Must be able to function in a calm, helpful, efficient and professional manner during acute and emergency situations with coworkers, residents, families, agencies, the facility manager or designee. Measure, record, and report vital signs: temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure. Weigh residents monthly or as ordered by healthcare provider. Assist residents with medication administration Properly and safely lift, move, transfer and position residents. Assist each resident with personal care needs and activities of daily living Plan, prepare, store, and serve food &/or feed as assigned per food services guidelines Assist and attend activity time with the residents as assigned. Perform housekeeping & laundry duties and follow structured routines. Report all problems or incidents to the facility manager or designee. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older Licensed certified caregiver certificate in accordance with Arizona State Law Current CPR/First Aid Certificate Current fingerprint card Evidence of freedom from infectious tuberculosis Physical endurance and able to lift between 20-75 pounds Experience working with the elderly and/or in the medical field (preferred) Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication in English Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
