Need encouragement to walk and exercise as well as following a healthy diet. She will coordinate doctors appointments which you will need to take her to. When client showers we are to monitor safety and always provide stand by assistance. client walks good, she can get up and off her lift chair without assistance. Encourage client to go out for a drive to the store shopping, restaurants of her choice or a simple drive to the beach (As time progresses) Client wears aLIFE ALERT
pendent around her neck 24 hours a day Client has a Housekeeper, Tuesdays we are to maintain the house with light housekeeping throughout the week (dishes, laundry, bathrooms etc.). The shift would begin Wednesday night at 7 P.M. and end Sunday morning at 7 A.M. Family Ties Home Care has sweet senior lady needing your help in Camarillo. Companion Care + is the need. Only the BEST people should apply. Must have Caregiving experience. Position Summary The Home Care Aide is responsible for assisting patients with a variety of non-medical daily living activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Following a pre-set Care Plan Compassionate companionship Helping patient with daily functions, such as dressing or bathing Light housekeeping, such as vacuuming or laundry Grocery shopping and cooking meals Assisting patients with medication reminders Scheduling doctor's appointments or other meetings and organizing transportation Recording and reporting to the supervisor about the patient's status Teaching patient self-care skills Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Current and valid HCA/HHA certification Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds Strong patient service skills Attention to detail and ability to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the patient's care Ability to address minor medical issues Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends Experience with housekeeping tasks, including keeping the house clean and safe for the patient to live in and doing the dishes Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
