WAKE STAFF
in a supportive environment, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued throughout the night. You will be responsible for monitoring residents' well-being, assisting with their needs, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment during your shift. Duties Provide attentive personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and health status, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through compassionate engagement and behavior management strategies Conduct safety checks throughout the facility, ensuring resident safety and adherence to resident's rights and care plans Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas, meal preparation, and maintaining a hygienic environment Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents using first aid or CPR when necessary, following safe patient lifting practices and manual handling protocols Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as manual handling or safe patient lifting are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks associated with caregiving roles Join us in providing compassionate overnight care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
