As an RA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory care. Your energetic approach will help foster a warm, engaging environment where residents feel valued, safe, and empowered. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in senior care, recreational therapy, and social work. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Plan and coordinate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and cognitive abilities Support memory care and dementia care initiatives through personalized engagement and therapeutic activities Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns promptly Provide emotional support and counseling on aging issues, fostering a positive environment for residents and their families Work with individuals with disabilities to promote independence and social participation within the community Experience Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings preferred Background in recreational therapy or senior care highly desirable Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care environments Strong communication skills essential for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Experience in caregiving roles that involve assisting with ADLs and schedule management preferred Familiarity with home & community care services and counseling related to aging issues is a plus Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to enriching lives through compassionate care!
