Food provided Casual work attire Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training We are hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide support for our residents with developmental disabilities. The position requires attentive and consistent follow-through on the part of the candidate and must be able to manage multiple clients simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with special needs clients, a genuine compassion for this population and a positive attitude that helps foster feelings of community within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Work with clients with developmental disabilities to improve their quality of life. Give support to people with disabilities so that they can lead independent, fulfilling lives. Facilitate social inclusion and integration for people with disabilities so that they can participate fully in their communities. Ensure the safety of developmentally disabled adults. Provide people with disabilities with opportunities to socialize, develop positive relationships, and learn new skills. Help people with disabilities carry out ordinary activities such as washing, dressing, or eating with the least amount of assistance possible so that they can lead independent lives. Be a caregiver for individuals who need constant care and monitoring to remain safe and dependent upon others".
