Resident Aide Sequoia Springs Assisted Living & Memory Care Fortuna, CA Make a difference! At Sequoia Springs, our Caregivers are the heart of what we do. About the Role Caregivers support residents with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs), and meaningful engagement while promoting dignity, safety, and independence. This role is essential to resident well-being and directly contributes to the positive, home-like atmosphere of our community. What You'll Do Resident Care & Support Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support. Assist residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the community. Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to leadership. Participate in care planning and follow individualized service plans. Safety & Daily Operations Perform routine safety checks and maintain a clean, organized resident environment. Support infection control practices and follow all RCFE regulations. Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Document care and communication notes accurately and on time. Teamwork & Service Work collaboratively with Med Techs, caregivers, and leadership to ensure smooth operations. Foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment. Uphold resident dignity, privacy, and resident rights at all times. What We're Looking For Experience in caregiving, assisted living, skilled nursing, in-home care, or a similar role preferred. Genuine compassion and patience when working with seniors. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills and comfort interacting with residents, families, and staff.
