Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to seniors. We currently operate a RCFE with 6 beds. This vital role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive attitude to enhance the quality of life for our elderly clients. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, patient condition, and behavioral changes; report findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized memory care techniques Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform patient transfers safely to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment Document care activities meticulously, including medication administration, patient observations, and incident reports Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans for each resident Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental well-being Qualifications Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, or long-term care environments; group home experience is highly valued Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer's care preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in caregiving duties Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or other cognitive impairments Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and families Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life Join us in delivering compassionate elder care that makes a real difference!
