In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on assistance to residents in an assisted living facilities setting. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; document findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Maintain a clean environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met Support residents with cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care strategies Engage in patient monitoring and communication to promote safety, comfort, and emotional well-being Assist with coordinating transportation for appointments or community outings Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures to respond effectively to incidents Requirements Background clearence Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and care plans Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and resident's rights to ensure confidentiality and respectful treatment Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Certification in CPR and first aid; ongoing training Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Compassionate attitude with a passion for caregiving and supporting vulnerable populations This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to provide high-quality care while growing their expertise in the healthcare field.
