Work with an Employer of Choice agency! Nu Care is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team of caregivers, dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of adult, children and youth with special needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. Our services are primarily in-home respite care, helping families in your community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Initiate age-appropriate activities for clients with developmental needs, primarily with Autism. Assist with daily living skills, routines, homework, and self-help skills (e.g. brushing teeth, getting dressed). Build positive relationships with families and clients. Stay calm and effective under pressure. Be a friend, a mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Enjoy helping people in a one-on-one setting, compassionate and reliable. Ability to perform all essential job functions as in the job description without supervision. Registration on the CDSS website as a Home Care Aide with no criminal record Negative TB Test results. Ability to obtain CPR/Basic Life Support Certification Valid ID/driver's license and reliable transportation Prior experience (minimum of 1 year)
