Part-time, Full-time Job Description:

Implementing client Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Treatment Program. Assisting in all daily paperwork including but not limited to: reports, dailies, seizure logs, current medication sheets, and SIR's information, etc. Accurate and proficient charting and documentation daily. Assist in teaching the clients about personal care, household chores, daily living, community resources, safety awareness, social and recreation opportunities in the community. Assist with cleaning, cooking, laundry and other household tasks Assist clients with hand-over-hand assistance which includes but is not limited to bathing, oral hygiene and shaving. Assist clients to address their medical, dental and mental health needs by scheduling appointments, coordination of transportation and utilizing standard medication procedures. Assist the clients in addressing issues and challenges by role-modeling appropriated responses. Assist clients with budgeting, grocery shopping and meal preparation. Assist in basic household maintenance and tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry and yard maintenance on occasion. Reporting any cases of actual or suspected abuse towards clients immediately to management. Notifying the clients' Case Manager of any major occurrences/issues regarding client health.

Other Job Requirements:

Highly Desirable:

One year's experience working specifically with individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to read, write and comprehend English. Follow written and verbal instructions in English from supervisors. Must have independent and reliable transportation, valid auto insurance. Must be able to work weekends. Fingerprint clearance. Working telephone at all times. Must qualify be a current/active IHSS provider with the applicable county and maintain IHSS eligibility while working for the company.
