Skilled Male Caregiver Needed for Advanced Dementia Care - Palm Springs, CA

We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Male Caregiver to provide dedicated support for an 84-year-old client living with advanced Alzheimer's disease in Palm Springs, CA. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about dementia and memory care who can provide patience, structure, safety, and companionship. The client requires 24-hour support with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM day shift and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift) to help maintain consistency and reduce confusion or disruptions in routine. The client may experience agitation, aggression, wandering behaviors, and occasional elopement risk, so caregivers must be attentive, calm under pressure, and experienced in advanced dementia care. $300 Sign-On Bonus Available! The selected caregiver will receive a $300 sign-on bonus after successfully completing 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance Offer compassionate companionship and emotional support Maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment Monitor behaviors related to dementia, wandering, and agitation Supervise and assist during community outings, appointments, and meals Assist with transportation and ensure safety during outings Support medication reminders and follow individualized care plans Prepare light meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks Accurately document care notes and communicate important updates during shift transitions

Qualifications:

Male caregiver required for client compatibility Active HCA (Home Care Aide) is a must Valid driver's license required Active auto insurance required Minimum experience in Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care is a must Experience handling behavioral challenges including aggression, wandering, and elopement risk Dependable, patient, professional, and safety-focused Strong communication and caregiving skills

Care Setting:
