This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with specific medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including teaching hospitals, clinics, and trauma centers, and possess a strong understanding of geriatrics and inpatient care. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's well-being. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding the client's status and needs. Document care provided and any changes in the client's condition accurately. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as geriatrics or medical-surgical environments is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus. Knowledge of care protocols within teaching hospitals or trauma centers (Level I or Level II) is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work independently while following care plans established by healthcare professionals. Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
