This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized, respectful, and attentive care. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being and happiness of those you serve, making a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive disabilities through memory care techniques Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning, sanitation, and proper manual handling practices Communicate effectively with clients' families, healthcare teams, and other caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care plans Requirements Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes with a focus on geriatrics or long-term care Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and behavior management strategies Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training preferred Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation when necessary Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks in compliance with safety protocols Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly desirable Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving; patience and empathy are essential Join us if you're passionate about making a positive impact through caregiving!
