Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in a home or community setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by supporting their daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a respectful and nurturing manner. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' mental and emotional well-being Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Maintain detailed care plans and document all patient interactions, observations, and interventions in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disabilities support Familiarity with patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and HIPAA compliance Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods safely and effectively Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with healthcare teams Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly preferred Valid driver's license for personal transportation assistance when required Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing compassionate care that improves lives.
