In this vital role, you will provide personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being within the home and community settings. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a supportive environment for those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. This paid position offers an opportunity to empower others while building rewarding relationships through direct support and caregiving. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition updates Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support clients in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness to promote comfort and health Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Follow care plans meticulously while documenting patient progress and any changes in condition Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being, especially for those with dementia or Alzheimer's Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes setting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and medication administration are highly preferred Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments including Alzheimer's and dementia care Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license may be required depending on client location This role is perfect for motivated caregivers eager to provide exceptional support while advancing their skills in senior care, nursing support, or social work.
