CPR Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Worker to provide temporary relief to primary caregivers of individuals with disabilities or special needs. The Respite Worker will be responsible for providing care and support to clients in their homes or in community settings, ensuring their safety and well-being while giving caregivers a much-needed break.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one care and support to clients with disabilities or special needs, following individualized care plans and instructions from primary caregivers Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being Monitor clients for signs of distress or changes in condition, and report any concerns to primary caregivers or healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and timely records of client care and progress, and communicate regularly with primary caregivers and healthcare professionals Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients, including proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, activities, and outings as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and transfer clients up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time Ability to perform basic first aid and CPR (Will reimburse for First Aid/CPR training if needed)
Pay:
$18.50 - $19.00 per hour
