Job Description

Job Summary The Caregiver / Home Care Aide provides non-medical personal care, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living to seniors and disabled adults served by Peakpoint Home Care LLC. The Caregiver / Home Care Aide works under the direction of the owner/Administrator and follows the client's service plan, company policies, and applicable requirements. The Caregiver / Home Care Aide is responsible for providing safe, respectful, reliable, and compassionate care in the client's home or other approved care setting. Duties Assisting clients with activities of daily living Providing companionship and supervision Assisting with mobility and transfers, as appropriate Preparing light meals and assisting with feeding, as needed Performing light housekeeping related to client care Providing medication reminders only, when included in the service plan Reporting changes in client condition, incidents, or concerns to the owner/Administrator Maintaining client confidentiality Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Be at least 18 years of age Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or in-home support environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation; experience working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities is essential. Have the ability to pass background screening Sign an abuse reporting acknowledgement Obtain and maintain TB clearance Be registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed. Compensation $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, schedule, and assigned duties.
