Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an IHSS Caregiver, where your compassionate support and hands-on care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care tailored to each client's needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will foster a safe and nurturing environment, empowering clients to maintain independence and dignity in their homes or community settings. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support medication management by administering prescribed medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards (HIPAA) Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans for each client Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs beneficial Familiarity with care techniques for hospice or palliative care environments is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Previous roles involving social work or long-term care experience are highly valued Join us in providing compassionate, professional caregiving that enhances the quality of life for those we serve. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
