A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.

AVAILABLE TEMPORARY WEEKLY SHIFTS
Tuesday 6pm-10am Wednesday Wednesday 10am-6pm Friday 10am-6pm We provide support to our clients 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. There are also various shifts available working with other clients.
ABOUT THE CLIENTS
Our client is a trans male in his mid-forties. He is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and visual impairment. He is very creative and laid-back. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and friendly to help our client with tasks ranging from hygiene routine (including showering and toileting) and household chores, to running errands and going to appointments. Experience is not required, but an open mind, patience, and willingness to learn are essential. Our client uses a wheelchair, so attendants must be able to assist him with transfers, though he is able to bear weight. Our client also has a wheelchair accessible van for transportation, which all attendants must be comfortable driving.
Other bonuses would be:
a love of animals (our client has a sweet, small dog), interest in painting and crafts, knowledge of community resources, and motivation to go on fun adventures out in the community!
DUTIES:
Our attendants assist our clients with any tasks necessary for them to live independently. These duties may include, but are not limited to, personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc), household upkeep, meal preparation, community outings, medication assistance and various other tasks.
COMPENSATION
Starting rate is $21 to $23 an hour depending on experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be at least 18 years old with a valid CA driver license and currently be insured (we do sometimes have positions available that do not require an employee to have their license, but you absolutely must have a valid ID). You must be able to pass the Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and a separate background check prior to your first day of work. You must be able to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within 3 months of employment.
