Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in Santa Cruz. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health, and senior or disability support, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of those served. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and fostering a respectful and supportive environment for clients with diverse needs. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support individuals with autism or memory care needs by implementing personalized care plans. Engage clients in social activities and promote their independence while ensuring safety. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in group home settings or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices and ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Certification in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. A background in nursing or related fields is advantageous but not required. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
