Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable ILS Instructor to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in building independence and achieving their personal goals. This role involves providing one-on-one support in areas such as daily living skills, community integration, communication, social skills, health and safety, and employment readiness. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to empowering individuals to live more independently.
Duties:
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to inform individualized care plans
  • Work with an interpreter that utilizes American Sign Language to communicate with individuals who are hearing impaired
  • Work closely with individuals on the autism spectrum to provide tailored support
  • Drive clients to appointments and activities as needed
  • Implement social work strategies to address social and emotional challenges
  • Apply knowledge of special education principles in supporting individuals with learning differences
  • Utilize behavior techniques
  • Offer caregiving support to individuals requiring assistance
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in data collection methods for assessment purposes
  • Experience in medication administration within a healthcare or similar setting
  • Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
