  • Job Overview
  • As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in residential settings, such as ARF- Social Rehab Mental Health Facility.
  • Duties
  • Monitor residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
Administer medications following prescribed guidelines Provide emotional support and companionship to residents Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents Prepare meals for residents Attend/participate in weekly staff meetings and clinical case reviews. Assist Program Manager to insure the delivery and documentation of quality client services; assessment, treatment planning, day treatment and/or other in house programming, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, counseling, referral, advocacy, liaison work, transition planning and discharge. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Skills
  • Knowledge of home community care practices Proficiency in caregiving techniques and home care systems Experience in medication administration within a residential setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare providers Ability to hold clear boundaries with clients.
Compassion, patience, and empathy when caring for dependent adults. Ability to pass all screening processes of the Community Care licensing background requirements. (Live Scan)
