Caregiver for Elderly - 6 bed home The Legacy Collection Thousand Oaks, CA Job Details Part-time $22 - $23 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Paid sick time Qualifications CPR Certification Assisted living facility experience Patient transfer methods Client rights in caregiving English Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Meal preparation Personal service experience with elderly individuals Full Job Description www.legacycollectionthousandoaks.com 5pm - 9pm Sunday though Saturday shifts available Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregivers to provide high-quality care to residents in our two brand new luxury Assisted Senior Living, Board and Care homes in Thousand Oaks, CA . Family & Nurse owned and operated. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting their independence and dignity. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Ensure that resident rights are respected and upheld at all times. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Administer first aid as needed and respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols. Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately in care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients in long-term care settings. Support clients in participating in community activities and maintaining social connections. Requirements Must speak English. Must be able to read/write in English. Employee must be a citizen of USA or have a valid work visa. Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is required. Knowledge of home community care practices and systems is a plus. Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing assisted living environments. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary, up to 40 pounds. Certification in First Aid/CPR is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live fulfilling lives.
