Caregiver Thousand Oaks Saturday mornings 7am-10am

Introduction:

Family Ties Home Care has a client in Thousand Oaks who need Saturday morning help , could possibly become more shifts. Client is sweet with "happy" dementia that needs walk assist and all ADL's help in the morning when she wakes up. She lives in assisted living but needs extra help not provided there. Shift will include getting her up in the morning, grooming, toileting , dressing then helping her down to get her down to breakfast and get her morning meds

Responsibilities:

Following a pre-set care plan Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance) Assist with medication reminders Monitor and report on client's well-being Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed Grocery shopping & errands Cooking/meal preparation Scheduling appointments, including doctor's Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved-ones regarding the client's daily status Daily notes Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:

Current HCA or higher certification Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience Compassionate and caring demeanor Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule Ability to lift 35 pounds Ability to assist with client's mobility as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work the schedule as described Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
