Glimpse of Responsibilities:
Provide ILS training in home and community settings to clients with developmental disabilities. Current Positions open in
Tracy,Stockton, Hayward, & Oakland Qualifications:
1 year human service experience Verifiable professional and personal references three of each CPR/1st aid (may be obtained after hire)
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check (DOJ,FBI fingerprinting)
  • Be able to pass an employment physical, including TB test
  • High School diploma required.
Sufficient command of the English language to communicate verbally and in written form fluently & accurately. Must have basic computer skills and access to a computer Have and Maintain at all times: Reliable vehicle (Inspection will be done) DMV printout showing a clean driving record Offer training and assistance as outlined in the ISP to meet the consumers' goals. Maintain necessary records for services provided. Participate in all meetings and trainings. Work in collaboration with the Regional Center case managers, day programs and clients. Implementing specific goals and objectives contained in the (ISP). Review and record progress of each consumer during ILS visits. Guide, instruct and support clients with their day to day goals ILS Counselors are responsible for assessing the knowledge, skill set, and abilities of consumers in the following domains: Household Maintenance Meal Planning and Preparation Socialization and Recreation Money Management Health Maintenance Community Resources Awareness Self Advocacy (communication & problem solving) ILS counselors pay depends on experience and is a 1099 contract position.
