Morning Walk Staff - Part-Time, Temporary Community Living with Self-Determination Union City, CA Job Details Temporary $22 - $25 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Developmental disability care assistance Residential housekeeping Food preparation Working with adult populations Meal assistance Full Job Description Overview Work with another staff to assist a young adult with developmental disabilities in his morning activities, usually including a long morning walk. Responsibilities Assistance with getting ready for the day. Companionship, support and safety guidance on long walk in morning. Light housework to help maintain the home. Some cooking to prepare simple meals as outlined in instructions. Support in other activities of interest such as reading, puzzles, use of device, music, cooking. Honor his choices. Be observant, responsive and proactive to support interests and promote safety. Experience Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities living in the community.
