Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Live-In Board & Care Caregiver, where your compassionate support and attentive care make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized care. This rewarding role offers an opportunity to provide personalized, round-the-clock care in a nurturing environment, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will foster independence while delivering essential health and safety support tailored to each individual's needs. Duties Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; promptly report any concerns to healthcare professionals Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents with specific dietary requirements Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or nursing home environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance, and medication administration are highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and family members Compassionate attitude combined with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple residents' needs efficiently This position is paid and offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your skills in senior care, long-term care, or home health environments.
