In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a warm, supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in a community-focused setting. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and meal preparation Implement behavior management techniques for residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities to ensure safety and comfort Follow resident's rights policies diligently, respecting privacy and promoting independence at all times Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community care settings Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and memory care practices is essential Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Ongoing training in caregiving best practices is a plus Experience operating standard passenger cars for resident outings or errands is beneficial
