Competitive pay:
$18.00-$23.00 per hour , based on experience and certifications No evenings, weekends, or holidays Paid time off Staff meals provided Optional health, dental, and vision insurance Paid QMAP and First Aid/CPR training Position Summary Direct Care Staff support older adults and adults living with dementia in a structured, engaging adult day program setting. Team members provide hands-on assistance with daily care needs while facilitating activities, outings, social engagement, and participant well-being. Essential Responsibilities Lead and assist with daily onsite activities Participate in and support community outings and field trips Encourage social engagement, participation, and enjoyment Assist with recreational, educational, and wellness activities Direct Care Assist participants with activities of daily living, including: Meals and hydration Personal hygiene Toileting assistance Mobility and transfers Monitor participant well-being and report concerns promptly Administer medications according to policy and procedure upon obtaining QMAP certification Transportation Drive company vans and/or small buses for participant transportation and program activities (required) Safely assist participants entering and exiting vehicles Willingness to provide morning and afternoon transportation as needed Documentation & Communication Complete daily participant documentation accurately and on time Complete incident reports when required Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding participant needs and program operations Qualifications Required Valid driver's license and safe driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to lift and/or transfer up to 50 pounds Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification (training provided) Ability to obtain QMAP certification within 90 days of hire (training provided) Ability to work cooperatively with participants, families, and team members Preferred CNA certification or experience QMAP certification CPR and First Aid certification Experience working with older adults or individuals living with dementia Experience in adult day services, memory care, assisted living, home health, healthcare, or caregiving roles Join the Elderhaus Team!
