EXPERIENCED
QMAP/Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. In this vital role, you will assist residents with their daily needs, ensure their safety and comfort, and promote a positive, engaging atmosphere. Your energy and empathy will help create a warm community where residents feel valued and cared for. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as DME when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities, preparing meals. Laundry services, Housekeeping Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control procedures Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members. Requirements Experienced with dementia highly preferred. Willing to train anyone but must be a critical thinker Valid certification as a Qualified Medication Aide/Assistant (QMAP) or equivalent license preferred. Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred; home & community care experience is a plus Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Ability to assist with ADLs effectively and compassionately while maintaining resident dignity Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and long-term care practices Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is desirable Valid driver's license for transportation. First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified

Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
