Overview We're seeking a kind, reliable, and compassionate caregiver to offer personalized care and support to older adults in their homes seven days a week. This role centers on promoting comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life while delivering reliable personal care and homemaker services. The ideal candidate will be patient, respectful, attentive to individual preferences, and committed to creating a safe and supportive home environment. The caregiver will assist with daily activities, household tasks, personal care, and community involvement while encouraging the client to maintain as much independence as possible. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, respectful, and dependable care tailored to the client's individual needs and preferences. Assist with activities of daily living and other personal care needs as appropriate. Prepare meals and snacks according to the client's preferences, dietary needs, and care plan. Assist with light housekeeping and homemaker services, including laundry, changing linens, tidying, dishes, and maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment. Provide medication reminders and other routine support as permitted by the client's care plan and applicable requirements. Encourage independence and participation in daily activities while providing assistance when needed. Provide companionship and engage the client in conversation, hobbies, activities, and appropriate social or community outings. Monitor the client's general well-being and promptly communicate changes, concerns, or unusual observations to the appropriate family member or care team. Follow the client's care plan, routines, preferences, and family instructions. Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and supportive home environment. Respect the client's privacy, dignity, personal choices, and confidentiality at all times. Complete accurate documentation of services provided and report any concerns according to organizational policies. Follow all applicable health, safety, emergency, and safeguarding procedures. Provide transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and other necessary community activities, while ensuring the client's comfort, safety, and dignity throughout each outing. Qualifications & Experience Previous caregiving, personal care, home care, or homemaker experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with older adults or individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living is an asset. A caring, patient, respectful, and compassionate approach. Ability to build a trusting and positive relationship with the client and their family. Comfortable assisting with personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and daily routines. Ability to encourage independence while providing appropriate support and assistance. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with family members and other care professionals. Ability to remain calm, dependable, and professional when responding to changing needs or unexpected situations. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification before starting. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, dignity, and the overall well-being of the client. Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and organizational policies consistently. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
