The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia. As a Qualified QMAP/Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents by administering medications, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and providing support in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timing Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff Provide compassionate care to residents with varying needs, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident living areas and common spaces Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of care provided Support residents in social activities and behavior management as needed Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting residents with mobility Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality care delivery Qualifications Certification as a Qualified Medication Aide or equivalent experience in senior care settings Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments preferred Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response protocols Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities and memory care needs Ability to perform caregiving tasks including cleaning, meal preparation, and direct support for residents Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Experience using EMR systems is a plus Valid driver's license may be required for transportation needs within the facility Join us in making a difference in the lives of our residents by providing compassionate care and support.
