Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Hourly Caregivers to join our team in the Bristol, CT area. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring environment that respects each resident's dignity. Skills Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care best practices. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement. Ability to operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within healthcare settings. Experience in home health or long-term care environments is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or nursing home experience are advantageous.
