Immediate caregiver needed for elderly female with dementia in South Windsor CT Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for clients with various needs, including those with long-term care requirements, autism, and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and skilled in creating personalized care plans that cater to each individual's unique circumstances. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with daily living activities and mobility support. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with memory care strategies and techniques as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a group home or assisted living setting as required. Skills Experience in long-term care settings. Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in creating and following detailed care plans. Strong background in direct support services. Ability to monitor patients effectively and respond to their needs promptly. Familiarity with memory care practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
