Caregiver Marcee Professional Homecare Agency LLC Stratford, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $17 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification High school diploma or GED Driver's License Meal preparation In-home experience Bathing assistance Full Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient In-Home Caregiver to provide non-medical care and companionship to elderly adults in their homes. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, ensure client safety, and provide emotional support while maintaining dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed. Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and tidying living areas. Assist with medication reminders (non-medical). Help with mobility, transfers, walking, and fall prevention. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed. Monitor and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition to family members or supervisors. Maintain accurate daily care notes and documentation. Follow individualized care plans while respecting client privacy and preferences. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or working with seniors is preferred but not always required. Compassionate, reliable, patient, and trustworthy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely when required. Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (if transportation is required). Ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed. Ability to assist clients with mobility and transfers. Ability to perform household tasks and remain active throughout the shift.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, part-time, weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts available. Flexible scheduling based on client needs. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life of older adults by providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable in-home care.

From $17.00 per hour
