Role:
Ngegha Beginner Childcare Provider is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Associate Caregiver to join our growing team in Washington, DC. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children during their most formative years. Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care and supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment Support daily routines including feeding, nap time, hygiene, and age-appropriate activities Plan and assist with developmentally appropriate play and learning activities Maintain a clean, organized, and child-safe environment at all times Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily updates Monitor children's behavior and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to supervisors Follow all childcare policies, safety protocols, and licensing regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a related caregiving role preferred Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to pass a background check in compliance with DC childcare regulations Patient, reliable, and adaptable with a team-oriented attitude High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in child development is a plus CDA (child development associate) OR associate degree)/BA (bachelor's degree) in
