Responsibilities Assist clients in navigating social services systems such as Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing, and child welfare programs Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients during emergencies or difficult situations Provide addiction counseling and behavioral health support tailored to individual needs Identify community resources and coordinate access to healthcare, housing, employment, and other social supports Engage in client communication using motivational interviewing techniques to foster trust and promote positive change Support working with culturally diverse communities by respecting cultural differences and promoting inclusive practices Supervise and mentor clients, including working with seniors, children, or individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being Qualifications Proven experience in social work, case management or related fields with strong writing skills for documentation and reports Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies, behavioral health principles, and social services systems Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience in addiction counseling or mental health support is a plus Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients, children, or individuals with disabilities from diverse backgrounds Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve multicultural communities effectively Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring others is preferred Strong client communication skills combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing programs, and workforce development initiatives This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in community-based support services.
