MUST:
Be or have been the parent or primary caregiver of a child or loved one with a behavioral, emotional, or mental health diagnosis. This position is based on lived experience. Applicants without this experience will not be considered. Be at least 21 years of age. Have a high school diploma or GED. Have reliable transportation, valid auto insurance, and a valid driver's license. Be comfortable using a computer and electronic documentation. Be able to pass required background screenings. Obtain a Delaware Business License (required for independent contractors). What You'll Do As a Family Support Peer, you will: Provide one-on-one peer support to parents and caregivers. Share your lived experience to offer hope, encouragement, and practical guidance. Help families navigate Delaware's behavioral health, educational, and community systems. Connect families with resources and supports. Maintain timely and accurate documentation. Participate in required trainings and team meetings.
Compensation Starting Pay:
$18.00 per hour for direct family support services. After a successful 6-month contract review , contractors may be eligible for an increase to $20.00 per hour based on performance, documentation compliance, and overall contract expectations.
