Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any health changes or concerns Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Follow safe patient lifting practices using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Prepare and serve nutritious meals while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards Engage residents through compassionate communication, fostering a friendly and respectful environment Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident conditions, and any incidents or observations Support residents during group activities or social engagement opportunities to promote mental stimulation and community involvement Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly desirable Strong understanding of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and geriatrics principles Proficiency in vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for transportation needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina for early morning shifts Familiarity with cleaning protocols and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment for residents This role is perfect for compassionate caregivers eager to support seniors and individuals with disabilities during the early morning hours.
