In Home Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals who may have varying needs, including those with autism and other developmental challenges. Duties Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort. Monitor patients' health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Document care provided and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or home health preferred. Knowledge of CPR techniques is a plus. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring direct support is desirable. Strong understanding of patient care principles, including monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes in health status. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory guidelines related to patient care.
