This vital role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive support in clients' homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted partner in delivering high-quality, respectful care tailored to each individual's unique needs. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive, nurturing environment that empowers clients to thrive. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote safety. Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions regularly to detect changes or concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking. Administer medication following care plans and ensure accurate documentation while respecting patient rights and HIPAA regulations. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster independence. Maintain a clean, safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status or concerns. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, hospice care protocols, and resident's rights. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Experience working with clients who have autism or developmental disabilities, supporting their specific needs through personalized care plans. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Capable of managing home & community care responsibilities while demonstrating compassion and patience in all interactions.
