Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant/Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a small adult family care home. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a warm, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies Engage residents in social activities, group exercises, and recreational programs to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and assisting with meal preparation Follow safety procedures for heavy lifting and resident transfers to prevent injury for both staff and residents Communicate effectively with residents' families and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care plans Skills Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments, especially with geriatrics or memory care populations Strong understanding of dementia, Alzheimer's, and cognitive disabilities along with behavior management techniques Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and safe patient lifting practices to respond promptly during emergencies. Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and provide compassionate support Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining resident dignity and comfort Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a home care setting Join us in creating a nurturing environment where residents feel valued, supported, and cared for every day! Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
