The ideal candidate will be a mature, attentive person with experience in caregiving, especially with infants and young children. This role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of the baby during nighttime hours, offering peace of mind to parents while maintaining a nurturing environment. The position is perfect for someone with prior experience in caregiving or related fields who is dedicated to supporting families in need of reliable overnight assistance. Duties Monitor and attend to the baby's needs throughout the night, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Observe and record any changes in the baby's behavior or health, including sleep patterns and general well-being. Assist with basic care activities such as diaper changes, feeding, and soothing the baby as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning related to baby care supplies and areas. Follow care plans provided by parents or healthcare professionals, including medication administration if required. Communicate effectively with parents regarding the baby's status during overnight shifts. Assist with light household tasks related to baby care, such as preparing bottles or snacks if necessary. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including HIPAA regulations if applicable. Experience Prior experience caring for infants or young children in a home or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus. Knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR is desirable. Background in assisted living, nursing home care, geriatrics, or home health services will be advantageous. Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring techniques, manual handling, and patient transfer methods is beneficial. Experience working with special needs populations such as those with Alzheimer's disease or intellectual disabilities is valued. Ability to provide personal care assistance including ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and mobility support.
