Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical practices and procedures, with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home community care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities and seniors. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions. Assist in the assessment of patients' health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Support daily living activities for individuals in assisted living or hospice care settings. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential. Experience in medication administration within a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Prior experience in senior care, including nursing homes or assisted living facilities, is highly desirable. Understanding of hospice care practices is beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
