Overview Join our compassionate team as a Part-Time Care Partner, working from 2pm to 10pm, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being. Your dedication will foster a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a community that truly cares. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia, employing patience and specialized techniques Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately Engage residents through social activities, companionship, and communication to promote mental well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support strategies Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for resident outings or appointments Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Join us in creating a caring community where every resident feels respected and supported.
