Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Sitter to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Florida. The Patient Sitter provides continuous observation and support to residents who require close monitoring to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being. This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, patient-focused, and committed to providing quality care in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one observation of assigned residents to ensure safety and prevent falls or injury Remain with the resident at all times as assigned and promptly report any changes in condition or behavior Assist residents with basic non-clinical needs such as repositioning, hydration, toileting reminders, and comfort measures Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs or concerns Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive presence at all times Follow facility policies, HIPAA guidelines, and Florida long-term care regulations Document observations as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or patient care setting preferred (not required) CNA or HHA certification a plus, but not required Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must pass background screening and comply with Florida AHCA requirements
Shift Availability:
PRN open availability on all shifts.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods Ability to assist with repositioning residents as needed Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
