Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need of assistance. This vital role involves delivering personalized, respectful, and attentive care within a home environment, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our clients. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following medical instructions and document medication records diligently. Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to record patient information securely and efficiently. Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates regularly. Utilize medical terminology correctly when documenting care activities or communicating with healthcare professionals. Handle specialized tasks such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, hospice support, and CPR in emergency situations. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry and cleaning. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while ensuring food safety standards are met. Manage medical documentation accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Collaborate with healthcare teams for effective home health or community care delivery and ensure continuity of care. Qualifications Proven experience in senior care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and medical terminology. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia care are preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Ability to work independently within a live-in employment setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Physical ability to assist with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and perform patient transfers safely. Join us in providing heartfelt care that truly makes a difference!
